Le Grand Meaulnes

Alain-Fournier

In The Wanderer, François Seurel tells of the arrival of Augustin Meaulnes, a charismatic boarder, at the village school in Sainte-Agathe. Meaulnes’s adventure leads to a mysterious fête and Yvonne de Galais, turning the boys’ friendship into a search for a lost world. A novel of adolescence, dream, memory and the threshold between childhood and adult life.
