Where Do They Come From?

Tea comes from China. People there drank tea thousands of years ago. Coffee comes from Africa, from Ethiopia. Later, people started to drink it in Yemen, and then all over the world.

Who Drinks the Most?

People in Finland drink the most coffee in the world, about four cups a day! People in Turkey drink the most tea. In the UK, people drink about 100 million cups of tea every day.

Caffeine

Both drinks have caffeine. Caffeine helps you wake up. A cup of coffee has about two times more caffeine than a cup of black tea. Green tea has even less.

Many Ways to Drink Them

In Italy, people drink small, strong espresso. In India, people love chai, a tea with milk and spices. In Japan, green tea is very popular, and in Vietnam people drink coffee with sweet milk and ice.
