Die Wissenschaft der Meinungsänderung
Lingard
Changing our opinions is influenced by neuroplasticity, whereby the brain forms new connections in response to new information that align with or challenge our beliefs. Emotions also have a significant impact on our decision-making, either encouraging or hindering changes in opinion formation depending on how the new information makes us feel. In addition, confirmation bias can hinder openness by making us prefer information that supports our existing views. Social environments additionally shape our willingness to change our opinions, with diverse perspectives encouraging greater openness. Recognizing these factors can help us become more adaptable and receptive to new ideas.
