Harry Potter und der Gefangene von Askaban

J.K. Rowling

Harry faces another challenging year at Hogwarts when he learns that escaped convict Sirius Black is rumored to be after him. With heightened security measures and Dementors patrolling the school grounds, Harry struggles with his reactions to them, which are rooted in dark memories. Over the course of the year, he discovers the truth about Sirius, his godfather, who was wrongfully accused and framed by the actual traitor, Peter Pettigrew, who hid as Ron's pet rat. With Hermione's help and a magical Time-Turner, they save Sirius from an illegitimate fate and allow him to escape. The year's experiences test and strengthen the bonds of friendship as they explore themes of betrayal, loyalty, and the importance of understanding the past.
