In Albuquerque, New Mexico, high school chemistry teacher Walter White's life takes a drastic turn when he is diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Facing financial difficulties and the need to secure his family's future, Walter partners with his former student Jesse Pinkman to produce and sell methamphetamine. Despite initial success in creating a high-quality product, their involvement in the drug trade quickly turns dangerous. They clash with dangerous figures such as Krazy-8 and Tuco Salamanca, leading to violent confrontations and moral dilemmas. As Walter adopts the alias "Heisenberg" and becomes more involved in his criminal activities, he struggles to maintain his double life and hide his secrets from his suspicious wife, Skyler. The season culminates with Walter fully embracing his new identity, determined to continue down his dark path to provide for his family, no matter the cost.
