Cendrillon

Charles Perrault

Cinderella, a kind-hearted girl forced into servitude by her cruel stepmother and stepsisters, dreams of a better life despite her harsh conditions. When the royal ball is announced, Cinderella's hopes of attending are dashed, but her fairy godmother appears and transforms her into a beautiful princess for the night. At the ball, she captivates the prince, but as midnight approaches, she runs away, leaving behind a glass slipper. The prince, determined to find her, travels the kingdom and eventually discovers that the slipper fits Cinderella perfectly. Her kindness and resilience are rewarded when she marries the prince, leaving behind her life of misery and finding the happiness she has always dreamed of.
